Combat trolls and spam accounts with Room Verification Levels

We’ve got another update for you all which focuses on helping you to protect your communities from trolls and spam accounts - Rooms now have the ability to select Verification Levels!

What’s a Verification Level?

Verification Levels refer to levels of criteria that a user must meet before they’re allowed to send messages in a room. There are 4 levels:

• Off - Guests can chat immediately (default level)
• Low - Must be registered on QueUp for longer than 5 minutes
• Medium - Must be registered on QueUp for longer than 10 minutes
• High - Must be registered on QueUp for longer than 20 minutes

Note: If a guest is assigned a role these levels do not apply.

You can find Verification Levels by heading to room settings and clicking on the Chat tab. Once a new level is selected it will take effect immediately.
